3PLs make appointments

Two third party logistics (3PL) companies have promoted or appointed new executives. Pacer Global Logistics (PGL), the retail logistics division of Desoto, TX-based Pacer International, has promoted Russ Oldson to executive vp of its truck services group. Two third party logistics (3PL) companies have promoted or appointed new executives.

Pacer Global Logistics (PGL), the retail logistics division of Desoto, TX-based Pacer International, has promoted Russ Oldson to executive vp of its truck services group. He will be responsible for Pacer's flatbed, heavy-haul and over-the-road van unit, field operations, central dispatch and customer service.

Pacer also promoted Steve Gaskill to vp and controller of its truck services group, John O'Toole to vp for agency development and George Michaelback to vp and gm of the truck group's Harbor Rail Transport operations.

Philadelphina, PA-based 3PL Stonepath Group has hired two new executives that used to work for freight forwarder and broke Fritz Companies, which is now owned by United Parcel Service.

Stonepath has hired David Bristow as its vp-sales for its international services division and Khalid Aziz as the company's director of international trade lane development.
