@Road and Symbol Technologies have teamed up to launch MobileForms, a combination of two-way messaging and integrated data collection in one wireless system for transportation companies. @Road and Symbol Technologies have teamed up to launch MobileForms, a combination of two-way messaging and integrated data collection in one wireless system for transportation companies.

The MobileForms system includes an integrated laser bar code scanner, work order and proof of delivery applications with electronic signature capture, and location reporting in one package.

The system is comprised of a Symbol handheld device with Palm OS, vehicle dock, WindowGrip mount and serial and power cables. MobileForms also uses @Road’s patented LocationSmart technology platform including the integration of global positioning system (GPS) technology and an Internet-based user interface.

Based in Fremont, CA, @Road is a publicly held company that provides wireless Internet solutions for fleets. Symbol Technologies provides bar coding systems for fleets, warehouses, and other freight applications.
