    Samuel Skinner said he plans to retire as USFreightways Corp.'s president, chairman & CEO once a suitable replacement is found. Skinner, a former chief of staff to President George H. W. Bush and a former Secretary of Transportation, has been in charge of the transportation holding company for three years. The company is conducting a national search for Skinner's replacement.
