TransCore, a transportation technology and services company, has launched a 5.8 GHz wireless system that includes both integration services and hardware that meet the Comite Europeen de Normalisation (CEN) dedicated short-range communications (DSRC) standards.

With the addition of 5.8 GHz products augmenting its 915 MHz and 2.45 GHz wireless communication products, TransCore said it is now in a better position to serve the global intelligent transportation systems market, focusing on electronic toll collection, access control and traffic management.
