UPS names Americas Region head

Stephen Flowers has been named president of UPS's Americas Region, which includes more than 50 countries and territories in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Stephen Flowers has been named president of UPS's Americas Region, which includes more than 50 countries and territories in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Flowers succeeds Jovita Carranza, who will become the vp of UPS air operations in Louisville. Carranza is replacing John J. McDevitt, who last week was promoted to UPS's management committee.

Flowers has been based in Paris since 2000, overseeing the company's operations in a West Europe District that includes France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Switzerland.
