GeoLogic Solutions patents Proximity Alert

The U.S. Patent Office has granted GeoLogic Solutions, a multi-mode mobile communications and tracking systems provider for the transportation industry, a patent for its Proximity Alert product.

Proximity Alert uses GPS points and interval timers to monitor the movement of vehicles. Its geofencing feature automatically notifies fleet managers in real-time when trucks enter or leave defined locations.

Proximity Alert can be programmed over-the-air to automatically track vehicle arrivals and departures, measure detention, verify off-duty time, detect truck movement and send out-of-route notifications, and alert when equipment is “out of bounds.” It can also notify fleet managers if a vehicle is detained at any location beyond a specified period of time.
