Hyundai Translead, a manufacturer of dry freight and reefer vans, domestic containers, and container chassis, plans to invest an additional $15 million in assembly line capacity at their Tijuana plant. This will add a new production line to produce trailers and domestic containers and boost capacity by 30%, the company said.
The company had recently completed an upgrade to speed up its sub-assembly cycle and a warehouse expansion, valued at $4.5 million and $2.1 million, respectively. These investments were expected to bolster trailer capacity by 25% per month as of May 2005.
