The past year featured many ups and downs for the trucking industry, with a fickle economy, interest rate spikes, and multiple mergers and acquisitions. The annual FleetOwner 500: For-Hire breaks down the carrier industry based on equipment and other factors.
Here is our first of several Top 10 lists based on the FO500 that ranks trucking companies based on the number of straight trucks registered with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
Of these top 10 companies, growth differed throughout 2023. FedEx and UPS remained steady compared to last year, while others, chiefly TruckMovers and Bennett International Group, saw growth. Companies like Patrick Industries fell in the rankings instead.
