New president, COO for XRS

Brendan Reidy has been named president and chief operating officer of XRS Corp. (formerly XATA Corp.), a developer of fleet management and compliance software.  The former chairman and CEO of Clarus Systems, Reidy will report to Jay Coughlan, XRS chairman and CEO.

His responsibilities at XRS will include overseeing development, product management, quality assurance, customer support and human resources, according to the company.

"Brendan joins us with a deep background as a leader of technology companies and ventures," said Coughlan. "With the launch of our new XRS product, we need to intensify our growth momentum, bring in the best talent possible and align our organization to accomplish our vision for the most innovative and valuable fleet management solution on the road."
