The American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI) recently announced the launch of its 2025 Top Industry Issues Survey. The company, which serves as the trucking industry’s not-for-profit research organization, conducts the annual survey to identify and rank the most critical issues impacting the industry.
“For over 20 years, the industry has relied on the annual Top Industry Issues Survey to highlight the critical issues facing our nation’s supply chain,” Dennis Dellinger, ATA chair and Cargo Transporters’ president and CEO, said. “ATRI’s research provides an opportunity for thousands of trucking industry professionals, from drivers to executives, to weigh in on the most challenging topics that affect our day-to-day operations and collectively decide on the most promising strategies for addressing each.”

Now in its 21st year, the survey not only captures the industry’s top concerns overall but also shows how those issues are prioritized differently by motor carriers and professional drivers. In addition, the report provides insights into how key issues rise or fall in importance over time, helping stakeholders monitor ongoing trends.
The survey will remain open through October 10, and results will be released on October 26 during the American Trucking Associations Management Conference & Exhibition in San Diego, California.
