Cummins expands Forever Rising Tour to showcase heavy-duty engines and improve fleet evaluation of performance
Key takeaways
- Cummins’ tour lets fleets test engines in real conditions to evaluate performance and drivability before purchasing.
- The 2027 X15 delivers improved fuel efficiency with up to 605 hp.
- Integrated powertrain and connected tech help fleets improve uptime, maintenance planning, and overall efficiency.
Cummins is expanding its Forever Rising Tour, a traveling exhibition designed to bring its latest heavy-duty engine platforms directly to customers. The company, which manufactures engines and powertrain technologies for commercial vehicles, is building on strong customer response from its initial debut at the Technology & Maintenance Council Annual Meeting.
The tour features five trucks powered by the 2027 X15, X15N, and X10 engines, representing a range of applications and specifications from multiple OEM partners. Customers can participate in Ride & Drive events and interactive exhibits to evaluate performance, drivability, and system integration across different duty cycles.
The 2027 X15 engine is a central focus of the tour, offering improved fuel efficiency compared to the 2024 model while maintaining similar diesel exhaust fluid consumption. The engine delivers up to 605 hp and 2,050 lb.-ft. of torque to support a range of fleet applications.
Cummins is also showcasing a range of powertrain and connected technologies during the tour, including aftertreatment systems, drivetrain components, braking systems, and digital tools designed to support uptime and fleet management. The tour includes Meritor drivetrain and braking products, as well as the PowerHouse mobile display highlighting Cummins’ broader engine portfolio and Accelera technologies.
“What we saw at TMC reinforced the value of putting our technology in customers’ hands,” José Samperio, VP of North American on-highway engine business, stated. “Confidence comes from experience, and that is what this tour is designed to deliver. When customers can get behind the wheel and evaluate performance firsthand, it reinforces the strength of our technology and the value it brings to their operations.”
