Vigillo, creator of Daylight, the CSA Platform for Transportation, has announced its IQLab division will be offering a Top Violations By State Excel workbook “to better assist motor carriers in managing disparate enforcement state to state.”

The workbook is compiled from multiple, publicly available DOT sources and contains all roadside inspection data for 2011 to date.

“We did what we do best,” said Steve Bryan, president of Vigillo, “which is to combine and organize mass quantities of data and then explain just what it means from a CSA standpoint.

“In this case,” he continued, “we took all the top CSA violations by state and organized them. Not only does enforcement vary widely from state to state but each violation carries a different weight in a fleet’s overall CSA score.”

For example, according to Bryan, the company found that Texas focuses on lights and lamps, Indiana focuses on speeding while Oregon and Georgia focus on log violations. “Knowing that information and conveying it to the drivers will be a huge benefit in the overall management of CSA scores,” he added.
