Wabash locks in CFI orders

Wabash National Corp. has obtained an order from TL carrier Contract Freighter, Inc. for 1,050 DuraPlate HD dry vans in 2006

Wabash National Corp. has secured an agreement with truckload carrier Contract Freighter, Inc. for an order of 1,050 DuraPlate HD dry vans to be produced in 2006. The agreement includes an option for an additional 950 trailers in 2007.

The DuraPate HD trailer features a composite sidewall and an “innovative” heavy-duty base plate that doesn’t need an interior scuff liner and offers 22 inches of lower sidewall protection, Wabash said.
