Dale Hanington, president & CEO of the Maine Motor Transport Assn., has been awarded the American Trucking Assns.’s (ATA) President’s Annual TAEC Leadership Award. The award recognizes the chief of the state trucking association that has gone above and beyond in its support of ATA, its members and the trucking industry at large.
“Our state trucking associations are integral to the success of the American Trucking Assns.,” said ATA president & CEO Gov. Bill Graves. “Dale has worked for 20 years on behalf of the entire industry, and has been an incredible asset to trucking. From his annual visit with the Call on Washington program, to serving on Maine’s Motor Carrier Review Board, or working on ATA’s Highway Policy Committee, Dale supports ATA and the industry.”
The award, which comes with a $10,000 grant to be awarded to a non-profit trucking education or research organization selected by the winner, was created by the ATA and J.J. Keller to honor a state association leader.
