Tire Industry Assn. sets certification training dates

Dates have been set for the Tire Industry Assn.’s (TIA) Automotive Tire Service (ATS) and Commercial Tire Service (CTS) certified instructor programs

Dates have been set for the Tire Industry Assn.’s (TIA) Automotive Tire Service (ATS) and Commercial Tire Service (CTS) certified instructor programs. The programs afford technicians the opportunity to become certified instructors and qualify them to conduct certified technician courses for other employees.

Both programs combine classroom instruction with hands-on education. The CTS program meets the requirements of OSHA Standard 29 CFR 1910.177. The classes are held in either 3- or 4-day sessions in either Baltimore or Denver.

The scheduled dates for 2010 are:

TIA Automotive Tire Service (ATS) Instructor Classes

Baltimore

3-day: Feb. 23 - 25; Sept. 21 - 23

4-day: Feb. 23 - 26; Sept. 21 - 24

Denver

3-day: May 11 - 13; Dec. 7 - 9

4-day: May 11 - 14; Dec. 7 - 10

TIA Commercial Tire Service (CTS) Instructor Classes

Baltimore

3-day: April 7 - 9; Nov. 17 - 19

4-day: April 6 - 9; Nov. 16 - 19

Denver

3-day: Jan. 27 - 29; Nov. 10 - 12

4-day: Jan. 26 - 29; Nov. 9 – 12
