Mack Trucks Inc. has appointed Bruce P. Hollenbeck to the newly created position of vp of strategic product programs in the Mack Product Portfolio Management organization. He reports to Tom Kelly, senior vp of product portfolio management.

Hollenbeck will develop, evaluate, propose and guide the department’s efforts in setting strategic project direction for Mack products, including, said the OEM, "the complete renewal of the Mack product range."

For the past 15 years, Hollenbeck led product- planning activities at Mack. Prior to that, he worked for 20 years in Mack’s engineering department and was responsible for highway trucks before assuming his role in product planning.

Hollenbeck holds a Bachelor’s degree from Purdue University and an MBA from Lehigh University. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania and a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers and Society of Automotive Analysts. He also holds four patents, with five patents pending, in the areas of engines, cabs, transmissions and vehicle architecture.
