Autocar has announced that Gene Parker, a former member of the Autocar management team, has been named director of vocational products sales and marketing for the company.

Parker comes to Autocar from American LaFrance, where he was national sales manager for the Condor product. He previously worked for 15 years at Eaton Corp. and for eight at Volvo Trucks of North America.

"Gene brings with him an impressive history in the heavy-duty vocational truck business," said Tom Vatter, Autocar's vp of marketing & sales. "With his contacts and knowledge, Gene will no doubt add strength to our growing sales team."
