The Research and Special Programs Administration (RSPA) is making available a programming tool for electronically filing of hazardous material incident reports, according to the Federal Register. The tool will be available on January 1, 2005, when a revised report will be implemented.
Ann Arbor, MI-based LTL conglomerate Con-Way Transportation Services is expanding the Northeastern reach of its Con-Way Central Express (CCX) subsidiary by opening a new, larger service center in Greencastle, PA. The new location has 165 dock doors and is adjacent to I-81 on Mason Dixon Road.
On October 29 Newark, NJ-based Guaranteed Overnight Delivery (G.O.D.) announced its intention to discontinue LTL operations, according to a statement by New Penn Motor Express. New Penn said G.O.D. will no longer be making LTL pickups and is recommending that former customers use New Penn Motor Express. G.O.D. was contacted but was unavailable for comment on the statement at press time.
