The national average price for a gallon of diesel rose 0.1 cent to $2.553 for the week ending November 19, according to the Energy Information Administration.

Although the national average went up, some regions posted a decline in prices. The sharpest drop was seen in the Lower Atlantic region, where it fell 1.2 cents to $2.461. It was also the cheapest region in which to purchase diesel.

Prices on the West Coast rose the most, up 5.1 cents to $2.724. The West Coast region stole the dubious honor of being the most expensive in which to fill up from California.
