Volvo Trucks North America has recognized the best service and parts personnel in its dealer network via the Volvo Vista competition. Vista is a six-month competition that highlights technician excellence.

The Vista competition is held every two years among three-person teams fielded by Volvo dealers, usually consisting of a mix of service and parts experts.

A team from Beaver Truck Centre in Winnipeg, MB won the 2007 Vista competition. The team consisted of Dan Teleglow, Dennis Baehnk and Chris Dunn.

Each member of the Beaver Truck Centre team received a new Harley-Davidson motorcycle and Snap-on tools.

The other Vista finalists were from:

    • Surgenor Truck Centre, Ottawa, ON
    • Sioux City Truck & Trailer, Sioux City, IA
    • Burr Truck & Trailer, Vestal, NY
    • Volunteer Volvo & GMC Trucks, Knoxville, TN
    • TEC Equipment, Portland, OR

The Vista program began in Scandinavia in 1977. Volvo said that dealers with Vista finalist teams tend to rate high in customer satisfaction indexes.
