• Blue Tree Systems appoints director of sales

    Steve Katz has been named director of sales, U.S. markets, for the North American division of Blue Tree Systems.

    Blue Tree offers trailer tracking, refrigeration monitoring, and other fleet management solutions.

    Katz has nearly 30 years of wireless technology sales experience with 15 years devoted to the trucking industry.

    “Steve’s addition to the team follows Blue Tree’s significant expansion in the North American market,” said Charlie Cahill, CEO. “His background and understanding of technology and the role it plays in the world of trucking, especially in the private fleet market, is a huge asset to Blue Tree. Our customers will benefit greatly from his knowledge and experience and we are thrilled he has joined our team.”

    Katz’s career includes positions with American Mobile Satellite Corp., Cadec Global, Comtech, and Air-Weigh Systems. He holds the Certified Transportation Professional (CTP) designation from the National Private Truck Council and is a member of NPTC’s Safety Committee and on the board of directors for the NPTC Institute.
