Wal-Mart tech wins TMC award for second straight year

Wal-Mart Transportation technician David Bryan Lewis was named top heavy-truck technician in the U.S. for the second consecutive year at the Technology & Maintenance Council’s (TMC) 2008 Fall Meeting.

Lewis, who works at Wal-Mart’s maintenance facility in Sutherland, VA, received a prize package that included Nexiq Technologies’ Snap-On Elite Series tool chest, an all-expenses paid trip for two to the Daytona 500, a Panasonic Toughbook 19 laptop and a custom-made championship leather jacket.

Ryder System technicians Scott Bennett of Tacoma, WA, and Michael Bogard of Neenah, WI, placed second and third in the competition, respectively.
