Ryder System recently opened its 16th truck rental, leasing, and maintenance center in Southern California. The center, in the city of Ventura, is located on 2.1 acres.

The 28,000-sq.-ft. service facility is an upgrade of Ryder’s previous half-acre location in Oxnard, CA, and features three maintenance bays plus a dedicated “preventive maintenance” bay. A fueling island will be added in the near future to this location as well, the company noted.

“Customer demand has grown steadily in Southern California. We want to be sure that we can provide the best infrastructure and technology available in the marketplace to service those customers,” said Robert Sanchez, Ryder’s president of global fleet management solutions for Ryder.
