A new Cat CT660 vocational truck is first prize in the “Win a Cat Truck” contest announced by Caterpillar (NYSE: CAT). The winner will be chosen from all entries by visitors to the company’s DriveCat.com, a website devoted to Cat’s new on-highway truck business.

People can enter the contest by submitting a video, essay or audio recording outlining their vocational truck application and explaining how a new Cat CT660 will make them more successful, according to the company. Entries will be accepted at the website between Aug. 1 and Sept. 30, 2011.

Between Oct. 1 and 15, DriveCat.com visitors can view submissions and vote for their favorite. The entry with the most votes will be declared the winner on Nov. 1 and can choose either a CT660 dump truck or day cab tractor painted Cat Yellow, according to the company.

“We hope people will have fun with their entries,” said George Taylor, dir. of the Caterpillar Global On-Highway Truck Group. “Some entrants may want to show us their work environments, their existing trucks or their plans for the new CT660. Others may choose to get their families and coworkers involved or prove they’re Caterpillar’s number-one fan. We’re excited to see how creative people get with their submissions.”

Complete entry requirements, rules and qualifications are available at DriveCat.com.
