Diesel falls half cent to $2.676
The national average price for a gallon of diesel fell 0.5 cents to $2.676 for the week ending March 25, according to the Energy Information Administration (EIA).
The Midwest region reported the steepest decline in the nation, down 1.1 cents to $2.655. But not all regions enjoyed a price drop. The Rocky Mountain region saw the largest increase after rising 1.5 cents to $2.780. The cheapest region in which to fill up was the Lower Atlantic at $2.630 after a modest 0.1-cent slide. California once again held the dubious honor of being the most expensive region, at $2.869 after falling 0.6 cents.
