The American Trucking Assns. (ATA) and Codega, LLC have introduced a new program featuring four animated training videos and other learning materials designed to educate truck drivers about basic safety concepts, rules and practices.

Particularly designed for new and young drivers, the program is part of ATA Business Solutions, the trucking lobby’s line of information products, business tools, services, training programs, and conferences.

"ATA and Codega are bringing a substantially different product to an industry ready for innovation,” said Codega CEO Robert Swint. “The days of education through talking heads and rote speech are gone. In our media rich world, learners expect the best in animation, graphics, video and sound. Our training moves beyond entertainment to truly engage our audiences in a manner that fosters learning and promotes safety as a top priority.”

The series features videos on pre-trip and post-trip inspections, surveying one’s surroundings, managing hazardous driving conditions, and basic intersection control. The DVDs can be purchased together or individually.
