Boyd Bros. driver notches two million safe miles

Virgil Shell, a 16-year veteran driver for flatbed carrier Boyd Bros. Transportation, recently achieved two million safe driving miles. Hereceived a bonus check, trophy, and other prizes from the company in recognition of his achievement.

“It hasn’t really sunk in yet,” Shell said. “This is such a big achievement and it’s a great feeling, but it still seems surreal.”

Shell noted that he’s never considered working for anyone else. “The company makes me feel like a part of the family. They know all their drivers on a first-name basis and it makes you feel good because you know you're important,” he said.

“I enjoy what I do and I really like working for this company,” Shell added. “I’m planning on driving for Boyd until I can’t drive anymore.”
