Peterbilt and John Deere dealer Rush Enterprises has acquired Smyrna, GA-based Fouts Bros. UD-GMC Inc. for $9.3 million cash. Fouts Bros. UD-GMC is a dealership that carries GMC, UD, Hino and Isuzu medium-duty trucks.

W.M. “Rusty” Rush, president & CEO of Rush Enterprises, said his family’s company would convert and operate Fouts Bros. as a full-service Rush Medium Duty Truck Center offering medium-duty GMC, UD, Hino and Isuzu trucks, parts and service.

“This acquisition complements our strategy to grow our medium-duty business and enhance our ability to service medium-duty customers with a dedicated staff and broad range of product and service offerings,” he said. “It further strengthens our network by adding a significant presence in the Atlanta market, one of the largest in the southern corridor.”
