Datalogic Mobile is previewing its new Datalogic PDA mobile computer at this week’s National Retail Federation trade show in New York City.

The PDA has been designed with the ergonomics, technology and ruggedness tneeded in field service, delivery, logistics and retail industries in mind, Datalogic said. It is able to be operated with one hand.

“Our new PDA uses our next generation platform, providing blazing speed coupled with the latest technology for mobility, all packaged in one of the best ergonomic devices on the market,” said Tom Burke, vp- products & services.

The computer runs on Microsoft’s new Windows Mobile 6.5 and is integrated with Datalogic’s Green Spot good read technology with both a laser bar code reader and 2D imager. Features include UMTS HSDPA mobile radio for voice and data communications, a Summit embedded 802.11 a/b/g radio and Bluetooth wireless 2.0 EDR for simultaneous connections and lower power consumption.
