The University of Northwestern Ohio (UNOH) has joined with the Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC) of American Trucking Assns and its Professional Technician Development Committee (PTDC) to offer a scholarship for students in the truck equipment and maintenance field.

The scholarship to UNOH applies to students working toward a degree in either auto diesel technology or specialized studies with a minor in automotive aftermarket management. To apply, a student must be a TMC member or be sponsored by a member.

”This scholarship has been created to provide opportunity for future technicians and equipment managers within the trucking industry,” said Lee Long, PTDC chairman. “UNOH is a well respected school for diesel technicians entering the trucking industry.”

UNOH becomes the second school to offer a scholarship with TMC and PTDC, as Wyo-Tech, located in Blairsville, PA and Laramie, WY, offers two such technician scholarships each year.
