Trucks to face Canadian border crossing delays in Washington

All commercial traffic entering Canada will face additional delays at the at the Pacific Highway Port of Entry (State Route 543 in Blaine, WA) beginning Tuesday, Jan. 3 until Friday, Jan. 20, according to the Canada Border Services Agency. The delays are due to construction on the primary commercial inspection booths.
There will also be no dedicated FAST lane at the Pacific Highway Commercial Crossing. The FAST lane will be used to process and facilitate general commercial traffic. In 2009, the Pacific Highway Port processed 319,707 northbound trucks, according to the City of Blaine.
