Maverick Transportation has licensed EBE Technologies’ SHIPS driver recruiting software, designed to streamline the company’s hiring process. According to EBE, the software manages the complete hiring cycle, applying qualification rules against applications while automating and auditing the verification process through third parties such as USIS, previous employers and wellness clinics.

The orientation process can then be managed through SHIPS or integrated to a carrier’s orientation and financial software, EBE said. The software also will provide links and pass driver information and documents between Mavericks' current AS/400 based human resource, orientation and driver qualification file management systems.

"We evaluated many solutions before selecting EBE,” said Mike Hufnagel, Maverick's vp of information technology. “The combination of its expertise in workflow processes, understanding of the transportation industry and breadth of interface capabilities made it an easy decision for us.”
