NATSO names board chairman

Darrin Flitton, fleet and truckstop manager of the Gold Truckstop network for Sinclair Oil, has been named the 2012 chairman of the board for truckstop and travel plaza trade association NATSO.

Flitton succeeds Bobby Berkstresser. He has spent 24 years in the truckstop and travel plaza business.

“I’m honored to have been chosen to represent America’s truckstops and travel plazas,” Flitton said. “As a member of the truckstop and travel plaza community, I am privileged to lead the organization that is helping to shape the success of the entire industry.”

Prior to joining Sinclair Oil, Flitton was district manager for Interstate Brands Corps., account representative for Barjan LLC, corporate buyer and merchandise manager for Flying J Inc., and front end manager for Smith’s Food and Drug Centers.

“We’re excited to begin 2012 with Darrin as our chairman,” said NATSO president & CEO Lisa Mullings. “Darrin brings a wealth of insight, industry knowledge and leadership to NATSO.”
