Menlo Worldwide makes European appointments

To support its expanding European operations, Menlo Worldwide Logistics, the global logistics subsidiary of Con-way Inc., has made two executive appointments

To support its expanding European operations, Menlo Worldwide Logistics, the global logistics subsidiary of Con-way Inc., has made two executive appointments.

Marco van Walraren is the new director of operations, Europe; and Edwin Schouten has been named senior manager-transportation, Europe.

Van Walraren will be responsible for ensuring continued adherence to Lean manufacturing techniques as well as customer relations. Schouten is responsible for current transportation accounts as well as assisting in the development and implementation of future strategies, the company said.

Van Walraren has worked for Menlo for 8 years in various operational management positions. Schouten joins Menlo after working as logistics director at the HZ Transport Group. He has also worked with HP, Unilver, Levi Strauss, and BU International Transport.
