FMCSA extends comment period for entry-level CDL training

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has pushed back the deadline for responding to its Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM)

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has pushed back the deadline for responding to its Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) on training for entry-level drivers by almost two months, to May 23, 2008.

The NPRM, published in the Federal Register December 26, 2007, calls for the addition of hands-on training to its mandatory requirements for entry-level CDL drivers.

Comments can be submitted online at www.regulations.gov. Refer to Docket ID Number FMCSA-2007-27748.
