Tompkins Associates has scheduled a webcast for May 17 at 2 p.m. Eastern to show how logistics service providers (LSPs) can add value to their clients supply chains.

The Tompkins Supply Chaincast will walk attendees through the advantages of participating in the LSP Consortium and show third-party logistics providers and contract logistics providers how they can connect with shippers through a fact-based profile directory.

“Despite gains in overall satisfaction levels, we continue to hear LSPs express frustration about developing more strategic relationships with their clients,” says Valerie Bonebrake, SVP of Tompkins Associates and LSP industry expert. “To drive innovation and higher supply chain performance, LSPs must go beyond contractual key performance indicators to deliver greater value. This webinar will reveal how benchmarking and best practices can help them achieve their goals.”

“Networking between current Consortium members and the new LSP members will narrow the communication gap between shippers and LSPs,” Bruce Tompkins, executive director of the Tompkins Supply Chain Consortium, said. “They will now have the resources to make themselves more visible to potential clients while improving their operations – which will in turn strengthen their clients’ supply chains.”
