Transplace makes two hires

Ron Hefty has been named vp of freight services for Transplace, a provider of transportation management services and logistics technology solutions.

Hefty most recently served as president & CEO of Integri-T Transportation Solutions, a logistics and supply chain consulting service. He specializes in bringing efficiency and cost savings to local and multi-national organizations through third party logistics, operations management and multi-modal solutions, Transplace said.

The company also hired David Farris to be vp of on-boarding, responsible for all new customer implementations as well as managing service and cost performance plus identifying opportunities for collaboration across customer networks.

He joins Transplace after serving as director of implementation at Hewlett Packard, where he was in charge of managing, planning, and coordinating global energy supply chain activities.
