    Rob Phillips has been promoted to vp-global operations by Phillips Industries. He has been with the company for 15 years and is credited by the manufacturer with introducing lean disciplines and increasing employee participation in problem solving.

    “Everyone at Phillips recognizes Rob’s commitment to building our company’s leadership position by continuously improving product quality and operational efficiencies,” said Bob Phillips, president & CEO. “His promotion is richly deserved, and we expect his involvement in our global growth plans to bring us continued success as we enter new markets.”

    Under Rob Phillips’ guidance, the company consolidated three locations into a single state-of-the-art facility in Santa Fe Springs, CA; added a Canadian warehouse in Toronto; relocated a factory from Dallas to Saltillo, Mexico; and opened Shanghai Phillips in China.
