As part of a reorganization of ArvinMeritor Inc.’s Commercial Vehicle Systems (CVS) operations, it has created the Truck business unit and named Joe Plomin as vp of that unit. He will be responsible for overall planning, program management, sales, service and customer relations for the new unit, which oversees ArvinMeritor’s axle, brake and driveline sales to truck manufacturers.

A 20-year industry veteran, Plomin had most recently served as sr. vp of sales & marketing for Remy International.

The other three CVS business units under the reorganization are Aftermarket, Specialty Products and Trailers, headed by ArvinMeritor vp’s Joe Mejaly, Tim Bowes and Amelia Quelas. All four report to Carsten Reinhardt, CVS president.
