Fleet safety expert Ray Guest is joining J. J. Keller & Associates as a safety consultant, specifically to help guide clients in regulatory compliance efforts, according to the company. Prior to joining J. J. Keller, Guest worked as the fleet safety manager for a heavy civil construction contractor operating in 25 states with a private fleet of 425 commercial vehicles.

His previous experience also includes fleet management, occupational safety, and risk management positions inside both large and small companies.

Guest also gained extensive experience with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA) Compliance Safety Accountability (CSA) initiative. He worked on the transition from SafeStat to CSA during the agency’s “pilot testing” of the new regulatory setup in Minnesota. His background also includes Federal and State regulatory enforcement positions as well as litigation and litigation support posts.

“We are extremely excited about the DOT and fleet management experience that Ray can bring to our clients,” said Rich Covyeau, corporate regulatory & safety consulting manager for J. J. Keller. “That experience, coupled with his deep knowledge of OSHA and MSHA regulations and practices, will be an invaluable asset to our team and our customers, who rely on us to help guide them in their compliance efforts.”
