Express delivery provider DHL Express is promoting Hans Hickler to succeed John Mullen as CEO of its U.S. division. Mullen is stepping up to head the company’s international operations.

Germany’s Deutsche Post World Net, DHL’s parent company, said all DHL Express regional CEOs will now report to Mullen, including Hickler.

Hickler joined DHL Express in 2004 as executive vp—strategy and business implementation in the U.S., responsible for the development and implementation of the company’s U.S. business strategy.

Prior to joining DHL, Hickler spent more than two decades in the transportation industry with the NOL Group and its subsidiaries, APL and APL Logistics. At one point, he served as CEO at APL Logistics.
