Fleet driver performance and safety management company GreenRoad has hired Jim Heeger as president and CEO. The company also announced it has raised $13 million in equity financing to fund the company’s growth.
Heeger most recently served as CEO of PayCycle, building the start-up payroll service company before it was purchased by Intuit for $170 million. Prior to that, Heeger was senior vice president of Adobe’s Creative Professional business unit. Under his leadership, the unit launched the Adobe Creative Suite.
“GreenRoad is one of those rare opportunities,” Heeger said. “It’s an extremely well-positioned company offering a compelling solution to an existing and growing problem. In this case, our driver performance management solutions deliver real, measurable results including improved safety, reduction of crash-related costs and savings in fuel consumption and emissions.”
Tanya Roberts has also joined the company as senior VP of marketing.
According to GreenRoad, more than 60,000 fleet drivers use its service, resulting in a 50% reduction in crashes and a 10% reduction in fuel consumption.
