Carrier Logistics Inc., (CLI) a software provider focused on less-than-truckload carriers, was searching for ways to eliminate the manual importation of data into its FACTS software and found a partner in PeopleNet. A collaboration between the companies will allow PeopleNet’s Link system to serve as the driver for data retrieval for electronic delivery to FACTS, improving communication between drivers and dispatchers, Ken Weinberg, vp of CLI, said.

“Drivers for some of the carriers using our software currently phone in information to dispatchers who manually enter it into our FACTS system,” Weinberg said. “Now they can integrate GPS location data, along with inbound, outbound and freeform messaging data, to leverage FACTS more fully. PeopleNet is the conduit for automating and streamlining additional processes and workflows that integrate with FACTS.”

FACTS is a stand-alone freight management system designed for multi-terminal, high-volume freight-bill environments. It integrates routing and dispatch capabilities with billing and administrative functions.

“We are pleased to offer FACTS users the opportunity to automate delivery of data that is critical to their fleet operations,” said Randy Boyles, PeopleNet vp of tailored solutions. “With the added ability to create PACOS Geofencing dispatches, key in-transit, arrival and departure events will be communicated back to FACTS and drivers will experience ease-of-use and automation throughout the process. We look forward to enhancing the integration to address CLI and PeopleNet customers’ needs.”
