Heavy-duty truck maker Autocar has appointed Steve Ginter director of business & product development for the Eastern region of the U.S. He will be responsible for improving the Hagerstown, IN-based OEM’s existing product line and assisting in the commercialization of new products.

Ginter, who holds an MS in industrial engineering from Lehigh, is a veteran of the truck building business, having spent much of his 30-year career with Mack Trucks in both engineering and sales.

“Steve’s diverse experience in engineering, quality and marketing will add tremendously to our already strong chassis/body team,” said Tom Vatter, Autocar vp-sales and marketing.
