Volume 1 of the Commercial Fleet Tire Digest, a monthly guide to reducing tire expenditures, is now available as a bound hard copy. The book, written by Al Cohn, director of new market development and engineering support for Pressure Systems International (PSI), covers the November/December 2006-November/December 2007 issues.

The guides discuss tire safety, wear, cost, and fuel economy. Chapters include Ambient Temperature and Its Effect on Tire Pressure, Are the New Wide Base Tires Right for Your Trailers, and Over Versus Under-inflation.

“I have shared every issue of the Commercial Fleet Tire Digest with my high school Diesel Mechanics students,” said Dave McNabb, a subscriber and an instructor at Career and Technology Center in Ohio. “These digests make great discussion topics and I believe they are an extremely valuable training tool for current and future truck technicians.”
