Former Workhorse Custom Chassis president David Olsen has been appointed CEO of TransAxle, a Cinnaminson, NJ-based remanufacturer and distributor of heavy-duty truck replacement components.

Olsen helped integrate Workhorse into the Navistar portfolio after its purchase in 2005 and also helped create UpTime Parts, which was also sold to Navistar in the same deal. He also spent 11 years at ArvinMeritor in various sales and product planning roles and worked for Bendix as well.

“I’m excited about the opportunity to work closely with the TransAxle team and our industry partners to improve an already excellent company. It’s an exciting time in the distribution industry and TransAxle is uniquely positioned to be a significant player as the market begins to show small signs of a recovery,” Olsen said.
