Wabco Holdings has begun supplying its modular automated manual transmission (AMT) system to China National Heavy Truck Corporation (CNHTC), the country’s largest producer of heavy-duty trucks. CNHTC is the first OEM to adopt the modular AMT system in volume production.
The modular AMT system will be featured by CNHTC on their HOWO heavy truck series, with the gearbox featuring the system to be marketed as “SmartShift with Wabco.”
