A new program for businesses and organizations that need short-term or long-term bus rentals is being offered by Thomas Built Buses, a subsidiary of Daimler Trucks North America. The MyBus program offers two 14-passenger bus configurations for rental.
The program is administered through the company and Daimler Truck Financial. Included are physical damage and liability insurance.

“Backed by exceptional customer service, the MyBus rental program, allows our dealers to assist the industry with safe, simple and reliable transportation as customer needs evolve,” he continued. “For example, the program is great for organizations with sudden increases in ridership, such as the addition of summer camp programs.”
What Thomas Built calls its MyBus is a smaller version of a school bus. Officially called a Multi-Function School Activity Bus (MFSAB), it meets the same Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards as school buses, except these units are not required to have stop-arms or traffic-control lights and, in most states, are not required to be yellow.
Thomas Built offers three MyBus models: the SRW (up to 14 passengers), the DRW 041 (up to 20 passengers) and the DRW 051 (up to 30 passengers).
Only the 14-passenger versions of the SRW and DRW are eligible for the MyBus rental program.
According to the company, in most states, the 14-passenger models do not require the operator to hold a commercial driver’s license.
The MyBus design features73-in. of interior headroom, an outward-opening entrance door and wide aisles. The all-steel safety cage body construction and two roof crash rails provide added passenger and rollover protection, noted Thomas Built. The company added that the interior boasts automotive-style gauges and driver controls.
