The AASHTO Mobile app, from the American Assn. of Sate Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), is now available on Android mobile devices.
The app, which debuted in June on the iPhone, features real-time traffic data supplied by INRIX.
“Launching the Android version of AASHTO Mobile is another step in our strategic effort to make transportation news and information more accessible, wherever and whenever people want it,” said Lloyd Brown, AASHTO’s director of communications. “The Android operating system is used in a significant number of smartphones and tablet computers, making the Android version of the AASHTO Mobile app a critical piece of the agency’s mobile application strategy.”
The app features the Daily Transportation Update and the AASHTO Journal, a weekly news report. The latest AASHTO news releases and links to more than 100 original AASHTO videos, including a weekly newscast through the organization’s online video channel Transportation TV, is available.
