Mack Trucks’ chief to go “undercover”

Denny Slagle, president and CEO of Mack Trucks Inc., is going to appear on a future episode of the CBS reality television series “Undercover Boss,” a show that takes corporate executives from their corner offices for an “undercover mission” to examine the inner workings of their companies.

CBS said that while working alongside their employees for the show, company executives get to see the effects that their decisions have on others, where the problems lie within their organizations and get an up-close look at both the good and the bad while discovering the unsung heroes who make their companies run.

“Undercover Boss is about better understanding the challenges faced by front-line employees, and recognizing their contributions,” Mack’s Slagle said in a statement. “I was confident we had some unsung heroes at Mack, and this experience confirmed it.”
